How this began

A friend offered her support.

I was telling a friend about a conference I would love to attend. She came back to the conversation and offered to help me get there.

Then she reminded me that other people might want to support my work, too. Not because they need coaching. Not because they want to buy anything. Because they want to partner in the work and help me take this next step.

This page is for that intimate circle of family and friends.

The Kingdom Advisors Conference brings together a faith-based financial community. I want to learn, meet people doing work alongside mine, and better understand where Hand In Hand Consulting fits within that community.

I'm a money coach, not a financial advisor. My work is helping people put stewardship into practice. This is an opportunity to listen, connect, and find thoughtful ways to work alongside others.

Flight and lodging amounts are planning estimates.

I will cover ground transport, remaining meals and incidentals.

A few clear answers

Before you give.

Am I buying coaching or a service?

Your support is for my attendance at this conference only.

Can I use a credit card or business card?

A vendor may accept a credit card for a ticket or gift-card purchase. Use only the methods that vendor accepts, and check any fees. Paying with a business card does not automatically make the expense deductible or make a personal gift a business expense.

Is this a tax-deductible donation?

I am not a nonprofit and this is not a charitable donation. It is personal support for a business trip. If you are considering giving through your business, ask your tax professional about your circumstances first.

Can I pay a vendor directly?

That's the idea where the vendor permits it. Airline or merchant gift cards can be useful. Your support will be used only for this conference trip.

What if an expense is already covered or plans change?

I will update this site as support comes in. Expenses that are covered will be marked “paid in full.”

Does giving subscribe me to your emails?

Giving here does not add you to any list. If you already get my emails, that is separate and you can unsubscribe any time.
